An agreement has been reached to expand Big Brothers Big Sisters of Sheboygan County by merging with our sister agency of Manitowoc County. Beginning today, we are doing business together as Big Brothers Big Sisters WI Shoreline, poised for inspirational growth, greater efficiency, and the promise of a bigger future for children living throughout both counties.
Why? The simple answer is we can serve more children together with the highest quality mentoring programs in a more effective manner while creating a stronger, more sustainable agency. A few key points:
· Logistics - Both offices will remain open and the teams will remain in tact so the point person for all our Bigs, Littles and families won’t change.
· New, expanded, and innovative programming including Bigs with Badges and MentorU will begin. Follow us on Facebook or sign up for our newsletter to learn more!
· Reduced administrative costs will allow for more funding to create Big-Little matches.
· Increased fund development opportunities and financial stability, will allow donor dollars to have more direct impact reaching more youth and supporting our long-term objective of serving all youth in need.
· Increased relevance by expanding community collaborations with schools, community-based organizations, and corporations serving both counties.
· Greater access to a larger media market, allowing for easier recruitment of volunteer Bigs and families in need, consolidated marketing, and expanded brand awareness.
· And a healthy goal to serve at least 425 youth this year, a 42% increase!

The need for fresh solutions and effective approaches has never been greater, and today’s landscape continues to beg for collaborations. As a merged organization, we will multiply what we were providing separately. It’s a huge win for the WI shores and we are excited to explore how this may enhance our partnership and further your mission as well.
